Medhurst Selected as one of only 12 key Hewlett Packard Wireless Partners to help grow HP UK Wireless Business

We are delighted to announce that we have been selected from hundreds of HP partners in the UK, to be one of a focused group of wireless partners specialising in education and a key partner in helping HP grow their wireless business in the UK.

This announcement follows on from Medhurst being appointed an HP Gold Registered Networking Specialist, earlier this year. The Gold specialisation was awarded to recognise the company’s specialist skills and continued success with HP networking technology.

VP of HP Networking Global, Bethany Mayer, has highlighted that her primary focus is to grow HP’s wireless business. The company has doubled its wireless R&D budget and is aiming to be market leader by 2014. As a result, HP has now created a wireless team in EMEA so customers have clear visibility of roadmaps and future feature sets to help them feel comfortable with choosing HP wireless. With the growth in wireless devices going from 300 million now to 50 billion by 2015 wireless is going to be an important factor in all markets.

Jon Howell, HP Networking – Wireless comments on the selection of Medhurst, “From the hundreds of HP partners in the UK, we have selected Medhurst to be one of 12 wireless partners specialising in education who will work with us to grow HP’s wireless business in the UK.”

Charlie Baynes, Managing Director, Medhurst adds, “We are delighted that we have been selected as one of only a few partners in the UK to be on the HP Wireless Development program. Each partner on the program offers a specialisation in an area and Medhurst has been selected for our UK education expertise and experience. We look forward to working in an ever-closer partnership with HP, helping the company to continue to deliver class-leading value to its customers.”

The HP Wireless Development program provides partners with $5000 of wireless demo kit, technical and sales training at HP’s Bracknell headquarters and ongoing marketing support.

Thank you for attending our education seminars this year and making them such a huge success!

During 2011, over a hundred schools attended our education seminars to learn more about education technology solutions and services, and to understand how Medhurst can improve their ICT functions whilst meeting ever tighter budgets.
